a very special week.

This is a very crazy week for my family - mostly, my sister is getting married! Coupled along with the festivities, my grandparents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and cousins and uncles and aunts are in town from all over the world. It's a great time to be on the coast.

When I flew in on Saturday, the nearly-weds came over for a casual dinner, and a walk around the bay with gelato. This is our family portrait above on the way down the elevator.

Don't my mom and Becca look like identical twins? Not to mention my mom only looks old enough to be our sister.

On Sunday we went into Vancouver for a bachelorette party for Becca. She was more than thrilled to sport a tiara, butterfly wings and a "Bride" sash. Danielle (far right) hosted us and made delicious homemade desserts that were to die for!

We had a list of tasks for Becca to complete along the boardwalk beside the Pan Pacific, like ask someone to show them their belly button, play "Here Comes the Bride" on the outdoor organ, scream at the top of my lungs, "I love Austin and I'm going to marry him on Friday!" And feel this gentleman's bicep.

I'm getting nervous about my speech and I had a dream last night that I was crying uncontrollably, although happy tears, through the whole wedding, drawing unnecessary attention to myself. Becca's been having dreams that the caterers won't be able to use the kitchen at the venue, so it could be much worse!

We're all very excited and bustling around. This week will fly by, and I couldn't be happier to be a part of it.

And for kicks, this gem [I'm on the right for those guessing]:
